SAVANNAH – Annie B. Archer Lockhart, 97, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Candler Hospital under the care of Islands Hospice.
She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and was retired from Memorial Health University Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. D. Lockhart and nine brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Lockhart is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Ellen White Danny and Jacqueline Meyer Barry; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of Savannah; and a brother, Franklin Archer Yvonne of Swainsboro, GA.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel, with Rev. Steve Meguiar officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

One day I went to see Annie I had just lost 30 pounds I told her I had just got out of the hospital. I had just found out i was a diabetic. The next time I went to see her she said you have gain a lot of weight even in your breast I thought to myself this old lady have good memory and very good sight. Annie was a very likable person every time I saw her she was always smiling thats what made me fall in love with this lady You will truly be missed but i know youre in a better place. Bless you and all of your family.
